The Department of Transportation Drug Abatement Division of the DOT/FAA certified the consortium in 1995, and we were one of the first consortia to achieve authorized approval throughout the United States. Specimens are reviewed and confirmed by Medical Review Officer doctors. Positive results are analyzed by confirmation testing for the presence of drug metabolites. Legitimate prescription drug use is evaluated with final verification. In most instances, negative results are reported within 1-2 business days, and positive results are reported within 3-5 days.
